Jarrad Fisher

Jarrad Fisher is an occupational therapist, researcher, and educator with a strong clinical and academic background in neurological rehabilitation. He is based at the Prince of Wales Hospital and is a PhD candidate at UNSW (The George Institute for Global Health), where his research focuses on developing and validating motion capture technologies as clinical tools for upper limb assessment in stroke rehabilitation. His work applies advanced data analysis and machine learning to enhance the objectivity and precision of upper limb evaluation, with the aim of improving assessment and guiding rehabilitation interventions. Jarrad has a keen interest in the assessment and rehabilitation of upper limb function across a range of neurological conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, and other acquired impairments. He is particularly passionate about translational research and bridging the gap between emerging technologies and routine clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.
